Kodiak Cubs
In the summer of 2017, I spent 3 months on Kodiak Island in Alaska studying grizzly bears with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This painting captures the dream-like, rich, vibrant ecosystem on Kodiak. It was a treasure to be able to have such close encounters with these beautiful bears.
Magic Hour
After finding my first elk shed in 2019, I was inspired to bring to life the majestic bull elk that carried those antlers. The backdrop is the mountain range surrounding the Middle Fork of the Payette River.
Out of the Woods
I created this piece in anticipation of fall, the chilly days sparked with excitement, the energy of the rut kicking into gear, and the primal desire to immerse into the hills. I am always looking forward to getting outside to hunt and make more memories!

This is another painting inspired by a grizzly bear family from Kodiak, Alaska. I remember this moment so vividly - the river roaring by, fish flying into the air, and the deep growls of hungry cubs waiting for lunch.

Whitetail Sunrise
Nothing gets your adrenaline pumping like a whitetail buck standing pround on an October morning. Salmon, Idaho is one of the few places you'll find whitetail in sagebrush habitat. There is some beautiful country in Salmon and I enjoyed capturing this buck in his homeland.
Elk Mural at Little Payette Lake
I was offered the oppurtunity to add some color to the restroom at Little Payette Lake near McCall, and this is the end result! This project was inspired by the changing colors and the chilly weather that sparks the excitement of the fall elk rut. I wanted to capture the majesty of the powerful bull elk, and the serence beauty of their mountain home.
